Holy Grail Product: It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil!

It's Wednesday, beauties!!

I am BEYOND excited to talk about today's product. This is by far my favorite beauty product EVER. I rarely leave the house without it. With just this one product, you can completely (and easily) transform your entire face.

I'm talking about the It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil!

If there is any product that I can convince you to purchase through this blog, I hope that this is that product. Please, please purchase it!

I've never had thick eyebrows. I like the shape of my eyebrows, I think they're okay... not too shabby. However, my eyebrows are pretty sparse. I definitely have hair, but I desire a more filled-in look when I do my makeup.

I had no idea what product to turn to when I wanted to start filling in my brows. There are so many brands, and products, it can be so overwhelming. There are gels, pencils, powders, mixes of the three, high-end, drugstore, etc. etc. WHAT DO YOU DO?!

My trusted beauty guru aunt told me that she had a product for me! She ordered the It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil TRIO that was being featured on QVC at the time, so she generously gifted me one.

The moment I used it, I fell in love. I was a bit scared of a pencil, because I felt it would be too harsh and rip my hairs out, but thankfully, that did not occur!

I'm not one to go crazy with filling in my brows. I don't give them a very sculpted shape, or go very dramatic. I simply fill in my natural brows. The most I do is extend the tail of the brow. I like a very natural brow look. That's not to say that this pencil doesn't make a dramatic difference, because it certainly does. My whole look transforms when I put this product on. Even if I have no other makeup on, when I put my brows on I instantly feel FIERCE, HONEY!

My brows are thicker, more shapely, but still look natural.

The best thing about this product is that it is UNIVERSAL! The lighter you press, the lighter the color. The harder you press, the darker the color. Everyone from blondes, to grays, to brunettes, can use this product. Also, there is so much product, it lasts such a long time! I believe if you use it every day, it will last you up to 6 months.

It's a duel-ended product. With the pencil on one end, and a spooly on the other, you can achieve the perfect brow look.

It Cosmetics provides a step-by-step guide on how to get the perfect brow with each product, but I'll share with you (in my own way) the universal way to get the perfect brow! 

Your eyebrow should start in straight alignment with the side of your nose... As pictured below:

Note: In the photos below, I only have ONE eyebrow done, haha.

The arch of your brow should align with the tip of your nose and the center of the brow bone... As pictured below:

Finally, the tail of your brow should end in alignment with the outer corner of the nostril, and the outside corner of the eye... As pictured below:

Note: The pencil is a little off in this photo. It should be touching the tip of my nostril. 

Also, can we all say "BAD HAIR DAY", because... for reals.

If you love makeup, you know how important good eyebrows are. Eyebrows provide our face with its natural symmetry, When our eyebrows are less sparse, and have more of an arch, our overall look is pulled together. You don't necessarily have to create dramatic, intense, perfected eyebrows. Keeping a natural look is just as beautiful.

BUT REMEMBER: Don't over-do it! Be weary not to look too fake. No two eyebrows are exactly the same! Our eyebrows are sisters, NOT twins!

I love this product so much, I stock up like a bear storing for hibernation, as you can see! Haha

 This product does not MOVE! You can swim with it on, run with it on, sleep with it on, whatever you want... it's going nowhere! I never have to touch up my brows throughout the day.

My natural hairs are a little weird, and start to droop down after time, so after I use my It Cosmetics pencil, I always lock my hairs in place with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. With these two products, I am SET for the day.

My Must-Have Items In My "On The Go" Makeup Bag!

Happy Monday, beauties!!

I really wanted to dedicate this blog to sharing my Must-Have products that I make sure I always carry with me when I'm going somewhere.

Now, that's not to say that I carry these items when I'm going food shopping, to lunch, or hanging out at a friends house. I'm talking about the essentials that I bring with me when I'm going to a girls night out, a party, a shower, date night, etc. These products are also handy for freshening up midway through a school day. Any type of event that may require a little sprucing up!

While the makeup I wear is mostly bulletproof, I usually like to touch up midway through the day/night to regain my glow and freshness.

So, what are the essential items to staying fresh when I'm spending a lot of time outdoors, dancing the night away, or looking my best on date night?

Here is my "On The Go" Makeup Bag! 

Let me start out by saying, I'm so sorry, I have no idea where I got this makeup bag. I have so many of them lying around, I cannot keep track! This makeup bag is a really great size that can fit so many products easily. You can even fit larger eyeshadow palettes like the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette.

So, if I'm midway through the day/night, I'll step into the bathroom at some point and give myself a little "umf" by using these products. Depending on the kind of "umf" I feel I need, I may only use 1 or 2 of these products, or I'll use them all.

What's in my bag? I'm going to break it down to Face, and then Color, Eyes, and Lips!

Face:

• Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation
• It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush
• Mally Beauty Travel Size Poreless Face Defender
• CoverGirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Concealer in Fair

Even though I may not have necessarily used the Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation that day, it's usually the one I bring with me for quick touchups. It has great coverage, but won't make your makeup look too cake-y by adding more. I use my favorite foundation brush (the It Cosmetics listed above) and I will either buff it all over my whole face, or in just the necessary areas. 

I don't contour on a regular bases, unless I really feel like going all out with my look that day, or it's a very special occasion, but as we all know, it IS okay to have contour/highlight on under your foundation. So, I'm not too concerned with putting foundation on over it. If you really want your contour/highlight to stand out, then bring them in your bag! But, for me, I stick to the essentials.

After I use my foundation, it's always an essential to touch up with my concealer! I switch between my CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer, and my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer. Touch up those dark under eyes, and any blemishes that may be poking through, and you're immediately looking more awake, and fresher! 

And, to pull it all together when I'm finished touching up, I use the Mally Beauty Poreless Face Defender to set everything in place. This is the travel-size compact and sponge. If you don't bring anything else, this is the one thing you should always have. You simply dab your face and it takes away and excess oil/shine while setting your makeup in face. Yes, please!

Color, Eyes, and Lips!

• Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Love
• Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Pink Peony 
• Tarte Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara 
• Eyelash curler

If I want a little more life in my face, I'll pop on my Josie Maran Argan Color Stick. I'll give the apples of my cheeks a little swipe, and blend it in. Boom! Instant freshness. Touching up with blush is one of my favorite ways to refresh.

If you want to brighten up your eyes and look more awake and alive, then I suggest bringing a mascara of your choice and/or an eyelash curler. I usually bring the Tarte Gifted mascara because it's one of my smaller/travel size mascaras. Applying an extra coat will give your eyes more life, and more importantly, if you give your lashes an extra curl, you have an instant eye lift! You're welcome :)

Now, it's important to bring a lipstick/lipgloss of some sort with you for a touchup. Whether it's the lipstick/lipgloss that you initially applied at the beginning of the day, or if you brought a new one to freshen things up and switch up the look, a lip color can make all the difference. I usually always bring my Tarte Amazonian Butter in Pink Peony because it's extremely hydrating, it lasts a long while, and it goes with everything! The perfect go-to must-have.

Must Have Beauty Tool: Clarisonic!

Hello, my beauties!!

It's been a little over a week since my last post, I'm quite sorry. I've been so busy! Have no fear, though! I've been on a roll, and I've already written THREE blogs that I will post next week.

Today's post, as promised, coincides with my last blog about my favorite cleanser: Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser. This post is dedicated to my MUST HAVE Beauty tool: The Clarisonic! 

I cannot spend enough time praising this beauty tool. It is such a holy grail tool for myself, as well as

many other beauty lovers.

I know that there are many folks out there who aren't quite sure if they want to invest in a Clarisonic due to it being a bit pricey, HOWEVER, I strongly encourage you (if you're one of those people) to reconsider.

The Clarisonic has been SUCH a game-changer in my skincare. Before using the Clarisonic, I had no idea how much I actually NEEDED it.

That's a lot of caps I just used. I just need to get my point across. IS IT MORE DEFINITIVE IF I SCREAM IT TO YOU?! Okay, sorry. Anyway...

I use the Clarisonic in conjunction with my Purity Made Simple. I won't go into detail about the benefits of the Purity cleanser, seeing as though I did that in my last post, but here's a link if you'd like to give it a read HERE!

Well, reader. I shall tell you...

You all know by now, I suffer from extremely sensitive/acne-prone skin. I had no idea how much I would benefit from this product.

The Clarisonic truly cleans deep into your pores to ensure that your skin is cleansed to prevent breakouts, but also to make sure that our skincare products are able to properly seep into our pores and work best. I can promise you... in fact, I challenge you... if you buy the Clarisonic, or already own it, clean your skin by just using your regular cleanser and your hands. Rinse it off. You think your skin is clean, don't you? Now, take your cleanser, apply it all over your face again, and this time, use the Clarisonic. When you are finished and you look down at the brush head, I can guarantee you that you will see leftover makeup on your brush head!

Look around at the various bundles you can purchase for the best deals. I recommend QVC (for the best deals on sets), Ulta Beauty, Sephora, Amazon.com, etc. 

If you truly want to transform your skin, and receive long-lasting results, I strongly advise you to invest in this product. Your skin will be so thankful. 

QUICK NOTE: It is advised that you change the brush head every 3 months. For sanitary reasons.

Hello, Beauties!! Happy Wednesday! We are midway through the week, and I am greatly anticipating the weekends arrival.

Today's post is about one of my holy grail products that I discovered a few months back, I believe during Christmas time, when I received it as a gift.

I had been using a certain cleanser for years, and years, and YEARS. As I've mentioned numerous times, I struggle with sensitive, acne-prone skin, and the cleanser that I had been using was doing a good job at keeping that issue under control... for the most part.

The problem is, as time goes on, or skin becomes accustomed to certain products, which simply means that the product doesn't quite have the same affect on your skin as it used it. As you age, your skin changes and needs different things. The cleanser I had been using for years seemed to have stopped helping my skincare issues, and in ways, seemed to be making my skin worse. I believe that my skin has gotten more sensitive as time has gone on, and that cleanser was too strong for me now.

So I urge you beauties, if you feel that your cleanser isn't doing what it should do for your skin, switch it up and find a new one. In fact, you should try this bad boy out:

More important factors to note:

This cleanser is totally safe for the eye area. You can absolutely apply this cleanser to your eye area to remove your eye makeup (yes, even mascara) and you will get no irritation. I mean, don't just throw it directly on your eyeball, I don't think that's very safe, but it can easily and safely remove ALL of your makeup without burning, redness, itching, etc.

I also love the fact that, as stated above, this cleanser is hydrating. You know when you use certain cleansers to clean your face, and when you pat your face dry (PAT. NEVER RUB.), your skin feels very tight, dry, and a little tingly? That does NOT happen with this cleanser. After cleansing and patting dry, your skin still feels plump and hydrated. 

Personally, I apply one full pump of the product into the palm of my hand. I rub it all over my face and neck (eyes included) until it is evenly applied. Then, I take my Clarisonic, and I use that together with the Purity to cleanse my face thoroughly. With the Purity and the Clarisonic together, I know my skin is getting the absolute BEST care. 

I think I'll do a post later this week specifically about why I feel the Clarisonic is such a beneficial skincare tool to invest in. Yes? Do we like this idea? Be on the lookout for that! 

As far as prices go for the Purity Made Simple, it varies. There are SO many different bottle sizes of this cleanser (especially on QVC). 

There is everything from 3oz. bottles for $11.00 at Sephora to 32oz. bottles for $52.00 at QVC.

As you can see from the first photo, I do indeed own the 32oz. Supersize bottle from QVC pricing at $52.00. I know that is pretty pricy, but for a product that you use every day, I'd be spending double that price in 3 months time on purchasing multiple 8oz bottles for $24.00. It's just a better investment for me. Plus, you don't need to use much, so this product lasts you a long while.

Review: Mally Beauty Believable Bronzer!!

I'm sorry this post is a bit late in the week, I'm currently stuck in bed nursing a stomach virus. However, I was determined to get this post up this week! As I mentioned in my previous post , today I'm going to be talking about a product that I  LOVE, from my fav makeup guru, Mally Roncal!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask!!

I hope you're all doing well, and I hope you've all had a wonderful week!

Today, I'd like to talk about a skincare product that I find to be quite underrated in the skincare mask community.

First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask! 

This mask has done wonders for my skin when it is feeling irritated in any way at all. First Aid Beauty (or FAB for short) really knocked it out of the park with this mask. I've never seen an oatmeal mask before discovering this, and that made me all the more intrigued by it. 

As I mentioned a few posts ago, Natural Honey is one of my go-to masks when I need some super skin healing powers. However, I love to switch up between the honey and the FAB Oatmeal Mask. 

One of the most important things to note about this mask is the fact that it is safe for ALL skin types. That means that myself and my fellow sensitive skin peeps are SAFE with this mask. I love when a mask states that it is safe for sensitive skin types because then I don't have to worry about having a bad reaction to it, or it doing more harm than good! 

Let's get into the details about this mask, shall we?

SO! The Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask is an extremely hydrating mask that calms, soothes, and nourishes distressed skin. It amazes me how much this mask does for my skin in such a short amount of time! 

It's main ingredients and their benefits:

• Colloidal Oatmeal: Relieves itching and soothes irritated skin
• Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract (Sea Buckthorn): Helps heal the skin and combats free radicals.
• Shea Butter: Helps moisturize and nourish the skin.
• FAB Antioxidant Booster (Licorice Root, Feverfew, and White Tea): Combats free radicals. 

If I'm suffering from redness and/or irritation, whether it be from a breakout, a reaction, dryness, etc. I just apply a generous amount of this amazing mask to my face, leave it on for  the designated 10 minutes, and my skin instantly feels hydrated, calm, smooth, and the redness is GONE. In just one use, my skin transformed before my eyes! 

The instant I begin to apply the mask to my face, my skin gets this wonderfully nourishing cooling sensation that feels so amazing! I wish I could bathe in it! 

You are really applying oatmeal, oats and all, to your face. How fun is that? I also enjoy the smell of the mask. It is NOT a scented mask. There is no fragrance. It simply has a light scent of the oatmeal. 

More important facts to note: This mask is free of Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates!

I think this mask is an essential for everyone! No one has perfect skin. Everyone's skin gets irritated from time to time. No matter what the reason, this mask is a beneficial holy grail mask to have on hand when needed!

Even if your skin isn't irritated, maybe you just want to give your skin a little TLC and nurture it a bit, this mask is perfect for a little hydrating pick me up! Stick to using it two to three times per week to keep your skin looking beautiful, soft, and supple!

It's simply a must-have treatment in my book, and I just HAD to share.

I also love that their products are not too expensive. I think $22.00 for a 2oz tube is an AMAZING price considering how amazing the mask is! Not to mention, a little goes a long way. I've had this tube for a few months and I've still got plenty of product left.

March Beauty Favorites!!

Welcome back, beauties!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a few days. What a slacker! That's why I wanted today's post to be a collection of products that I can talk about. This is my first time doing a monthly favorites blog, and we'll see how it goes. If it does well, I will certainly do one at the end of every month!

I cannot believe March is already over, I feel like it was just March first! Needless to say, there have been so many products that I've purchased and tested throughout this month. Here are my favorites that I have been obsessed with, and using consistently throughout this entire month!

First, I'll start with the most used product: The It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eye Shadow Palette! 

I just love this palette. I've owned it for about a year now. It's always been a go-to palette, and especially within the last month, I've pretty much used this every day. I love the colors. They're very fresh and spring-like to me. It's a beautiful mix of pinks, brows, mauves, taupes, and your little pops of color like the Violet and the Noir. The palette itself is SO versatile. I cannot even begin to tell you how many looks you can create using these 14 shades+ Transforming Pearl. 

The shadows themselves are anti-aging silk-infused matte shadows, but the fun thing is, you can mix the Transforming Pearl shadow with any of the mattes, and it turns the shadow into a soft pearl! The shadows are Talc-free, Paraben-free, fragrance-free, Sulfate-free, and cruelty-free! 

They hold Hydrating Age Reverse and Prevent Complex. They're infused with Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Silk, Anti-Oxidents, and Drops of Light Technology. They do not crease, they do not crack, and they do not settle into fine lines! That's quite a bit of goodness, right?! :) 

I just truly love it! The colors are beautiful. The photo does not do them justice. It's a bright, fresh look for any eye color. Perfect for Spring and Summer time! 

The palette runs for $48.00 at Ulta Beauty. A little pricey, but I definitely stand by this product. I've used some of these colors daily for a year now, and I'm not close to hitting pan on any shade!

Next up, I'll talk about the Mally Beauty Perfect Prep Poreless Primer, from my fav makeup guru, Mally Roncal! 

I just love this primer! My aunt had gifted this to me in September for my birthday, so I've obviously owned it prior to shooting the Rachael Ray show with Mally in December. I use this product daily. I own a few different primers from different brands, but I'd say this primer is definitely my every day go-to buddy. 

It's so weightless, so smooth, and I love that it doesn't turn me into a greased chicken! I have a strong dislike for greasy, slimy, slippery face primers. Yuck! That's why I was so happy when I discovered Mally's! 

It minimizes fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. It has the slightest, slightest shimmer to it that gives you a brightened glow-from-within look. Another aspect of it that I love: it doesn't dry you out! I hate primers that suck the life and moisture out of your skin. this primer is actually hydrating. It definitely keeps my makeup in place all day. 

Bonus secret: You can apply this primer after you perform your nightly skin routine to lock all of the moisture and products in! This is definitely a great primer to use as your beginning step in your makeup routine, and as the final step after your skincare routine. I love it!

Next up, we have the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye!

(For whatever reason, my tube flattens on the side. In order to allow you see see the tube, I had to hold it for you! Ignore my un-manicured nails)

I was also gifted this product from my aunt about three weeks ago and I've been loving it ever since! 

I had always seen this product being sold on QVC, and it's always received rave-reviews. I wanted to give it a try! I couldn't be happier. I use the shade Neutral Medium, definitely a forgiving shade. 

This concealer is heavenly. I have struggled for SO long with concealers that crease and crack. I'd set them, I'd apply less, I'd apply more, I'd blend like crazy, and they always creased! Until I found the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer, that is! This product does not crease on me. At. All.

It's completely full coverage, with a beautifully hydrating and creamy consistency. Not only is it great at concealing dark under-eyes, but it's also great for concealing any blemishes, dark spots, and imperfections. You could even use it as an all over foundation if you want! It's award-winning, anti-aging, infused with Hydrolyzed Collagen, vitamins C and K, and diffuses the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I also just HAVE to rave about the lifespan of the product. For $24.00 at Ulta Beauty, you get a .28 fl.oz. tube. The tube is huge! You only need such a small amount, it blows my mind every time. I only squeeze a teeny tiny, freckle-size amount on the back of my hand, and I can conceal my under eyes, and blemishes with just that little squeeze. This... I cannot rave about it enough. It amazes me. It gives a whole new meaning to "a little goes a long way." It's well worth $24.00 to me! I think I'll own this forever! 

Next up, the Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation! 

I only purchased this product about a week ago after seeing a beauty vlogger talk about it, but I've been loving it so much, I decided to throw it into my favorites post! 

This foundation is so lightweight and feathery, yet it gives such great/beautiful coverage. It doesn't even feel like you have foundation on, but I can definitely see a major difference in my skin! It comes with a little sponge (I personally never use those sponges that come with powder foundations, I use a Kabuki brush to buff it into the skin.) I feel buffing it in gives you a more natural/even/your-skin-but-better look. There are a tone of shades to choose from! I am in Fair Neutral because we remember that I am Casper's sister. 

It's a demi-matte full coverage foundation. And it definitely, definitely lasts all day! The long wear is amazing with this product! It has a velvety formula that allows it to be build able. This foundation can be applied wet or dry using the sponge, though I'm satisfied with applying it dry, I don't believe I'll ever try applying it wet. It doesn't leave your skin looking dusty or cakey, it just lays beautifully on the skin. I'm so pleased! 

It is formulated with coated micro-milled powders, and it diffuses light to blur the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And also, it's Paraben-free!

This product runs for $36.00 at Sephora. It also comes with a full-size mirror as well as a protective pouch! (Shown in photo above.)

We're almost done here, haha! Three more products to rave about. Annnnnnd GO!

The Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon! 

In my latest haul , I talked about how I had purchased two different shades of these concealer crayons as a part of Josie Maran's new contouring campaign. I admit that I haven't really been using the lighter shade for any concealing or highlighting duties (I promise I will start), but I have been LOVING the darker shade for some quick contouring on the cheek bones! 

I purchased Medium 2 as my contour shade, and it works beautifully. All I do is draw one line right on the cheek bone, and simply blend out with my fingers! It's so quick and easy. Be on the lookout for a contour and highlighting post using the Argan Creamy Concealers. Once I start using the lighter crayon again, I'm going to make a post about that within the next few weeks! 

The Argan Creamy Concealer Crayons are $20.00 at Sephora. It's a great price for the product. Since the crayon is infused with %100 pure Argan Oil, you're receiving essential amino acids, fatty acids, hydration, and benefits galore! Plus, the product itself will last you a very long time.

Next up, I wanted to mention a perfume that I've just been loving. Philosophy Loveswept!

I mean, let's just talk about the bottle itself. Is that not gorgeous? I love it! 

I just love this scent. It's very fresh and light, and very romantic. I guess that's why it was named Loveswept, haha! I think it's just a beautiful scent, and I've really been loving it. I received two compliments while wearing it just yesterday! 

I own the 2fl.oz. bottle that runs for $48.00 at Sephora. They have several different sizes, smaller and larger, and you can definitely find this perfume in a gift set at QVC! 

It is described as "sparkling lightness meets a beautiful spring bouquet." It has warm, sensual notes of Bergamot, Blue Violet, Lotus Blossom, Pink Jasmine, Purple Passion Fruit, Skin Musk, Creamy Amber, and White Cedarwood. 

It's just a sparkling, dazzling, and romantic scent! I really love this scent, as well as many other Philosophy scents, so I wanted to share with my fellow fragrance lovers looking for a new scent for Spring!

Finally, I wanted to share a little nail care product that I've been loving this past month. The Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat!

This is a nail strengthener and brightener with tint of pink that gives your nails a beautiful natural glow, shine, and pink tint, while strengthening them and providing them with essential vitamins and nutrients that help your nails to grow healthy and happy! This is a Protein- rich and Keratin-rich formula, infused with an optical brightener that filters out the dull-yellow appearance of nails. It brings out the natural color of your nail beds (hence, the pink tint) and it makes the whites of your nails appear whiter. 

I love this product! It's really helped my nails grow tremendously, and I know that they will not break when I have this product on keeping them strong and beautiful! It's worked wonders for my nails, and I highly recommend this for anyone with weak, dull, short nails!
